Kalayaan 2023
Kalayaan is FILCAS’s annual flag raising ceremony recognizing Philippines Independence Day and is part of Filipino Heritage Month in June as declared by the City of Saskatoon. 2023 marks 125 years of Philippines as an independent country, and also marks the 50th anniversary of FILCAS as the umbrella organization for the Filipino community in Saskatchewan.
Join us as we raise the Philippines flag at Saskatoon City Hall, hear from special guests, be entertained with cultural dances, and feast in a Filipino boodle-style potluck as we launch FILCAS 50 activities happening throughout the year!

Call for Volunteers
Help welcome and support new Filipino healthcare workers, and their families, recruited by the Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Region. Various volunteer opportunities available including Welcoming Committee, Errand Driver/Assistant, Grocery Assistant and more. This a joint initiative between FILCAS and the Philippine Association of Saskatchewan (PAS) based in Regina, SK.
