Supporting the Filipino-Canadian Community Since 1973
Filipino-Canadian Association of Saskatchewan (FILCAS) Inc. is the nonprofit umbrella organization serving the Filipino-Canadian community in Saskatchewan, which is home to over 44,000+ Filipinos.
Established in 1973, FILCAS first served to bring together Filipino newcomers who settled in Saskatoon. As the Filipino population grew, so did the purpose of the organization. What started as a social group to unite Filipino immigrants became a registered nonprofit committed to promoting and preserving Filipino culture within the Canadian setting.
In 2020, FILCAS changed its name from “Saskatoon” to “Saskatchewan” to accurately reflect its membership of Filipino-Canadians throughout the province.
